is my filter good enough
I have a 300 gallon tank with built in water overflow that goes down to 35 gallon sump with twk roi plus pumps one a 3100 the other 1700 is that good enough?

more flow would be good. if the parameters are 0 ammonia and nitrite then the filter itself is enough

Sump seems kinda small for a 300g.
If you have to ask this question...Id say yes...too small.

Depends on stocking levels. If the water params show good and you are happy with the amount of debries loose in the tank, then yes it is fine. A 300g can hold a fair amount of fish though, so most likely you'll will find that it is not enough filtration.

What are you going to stock the tank with? You can always build a larger sump with higher volume pumps or add a couple canister filters. Need to fit the filtration to the amount of stock you are planning. Your current filter may be more then adequate for biological filtration for even a heavily stocked tank, depending on the design of the sump and the biomedia used. Very doubtful that it will provide very good mechanical filtration though do to low turnover rate.

Im not sure im not going to have it super stocked but I wanna have somewhat aggressive exotics so far I have a peacock bass, tiger shovel nose, im just out looking maybe wanna put some widebar silver dollars. Just out to see what I can get a hold of.
