    Eheim 2262 media setup

Just order a 2262 to add to my tank for additional bio. I am going to run my fx5 setup for mechanical. Was thinking of putting 2 liters of efhimech and the rest of it with seachem pond matrix. Does that sound like a good setup or should i run this media in a different way?

There are lots of ways to set up the media. Check out This thread

I also use Poret 20PPI foam, cut to fit, in a couple of my 2260/62 filters prior to the bio-media.

I think you should be fine. Both of mine are filled with about 13 liters of efimech and some dupla minikaskade bio media on top. Heck, you can fill the whole thing up with pot scrubbers which many people have done.
