Spotted far growth ?

I've had these two guys for about a month now and I got them in at 5"each and measured them today and they are 8.5" each. I was just wondering what is the normal growth rate for these guys ?

dont know but thats bad ass 3.5 inches in a month

According to the Gar species sticky http://monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=406951 they can be expected to reach 12" in a year and 16" after 2 years.
