when i bought my first 200+ gallon (6'x2'x32") tank, the guy i bought from had it in his 3rd story apartment

Buddy has a 220 on second level. No bracing ... I would beef up the floor anything over 100 gallons.

my 180 80 and two 10s are on my second floor with no pillars below the unit just a garage. theres a bit of sagging but we still standing. :)

Mine would be a 75. I don't think I would go any bigger. 4 years ago when I lived with my fathers house my old 75 had a seal go and drained a tank while I was out. Caused $5000 in damages. Can't imagine what a larger tank would do....
