I have a newish salty setup that is in its 'diatoms and hair algae' phase of cycling. I am looking for some cleaners to eat the algae, but i dont want them to eat my plants. I'm not sure what type of plants they are but they are pretty, and growing very rapidly since adding the new 6500k daylight bulbs. I will include a pic or two. I'm leaning towards the blue legged hermit crabs, but ive read that they eat more detritus and leftover food than they do algae. So i want to get some snails too but I dont want them to eat my plants. Any suggestions? Anyone ever had a hermit crab eat the plants? photo(13).JPGphoto(14).JPG

no they they turbo and ceriths will feed on your different algae's in the tank and your hermit crabs will eat what they can find.
