hi all, what wood can i use to make my own divider, could i use some 1x1 pine? my plan is to cut some simple joints into the corners (no glue or screws) then use fishing line and create a 1cm2 mesh.... so it is almost invisible.... im thinking pine sap may be poisonouse????

im in the uk so egg crate although not impossible to find woukld be difficult, i really want to build one with fishing line so it is invisible almost and all the water can still flow freely. not into glass dividers of big un sightly lumps of plastic??!? maybe some stips of 10mm glass with holes drilled every 10mm.... wonder if the local glass place could make me these? maybe i'll call them....

I did the acrylic-with-holes-drilled quite a while ago. Problem is, it's still basically a flat surface, lacking good circulation. Works best if water flow is being generated inside the divided part. Still, starts out looking sparkly clear & soon just another surface needing to be cleaned.
