black shark. whats the deal with tank size?

keep seeing they can be kept in a 125. i seen big ones on youtube. can anyone confirm?


i was thinking of trading the archers and getting more synos and a rainbow shark as well. the two redtails i have now keep to themselves.

or if that dosent sound like a good combo....just fill the tank with africans and have the black shark as the center piece and homes for everyone else

and are schooling fish. A small school of five or six large 10"ers would be cool but would be the limit of your tank.

The black shark can max out at 23 inches. They can be extremely aggressive. I had one in a 125 that I could not keep tankmates with. He was very active though. He seemed to ignore very small fish such as odessa barbs and the like. They grow fast and need a cave to call their own. Cool fish imo.
