Ok, so i took delivery of a 10 inch garfish today. Somehow during transit it has injured itself and it looks like the top of its snout is peeling off exposing the jawbone beneath. I have no clue what I should do or even if there is anything that I can do...Is this survivable? Anyone seen this kind of thing before?

About all you can do is keep the water clean. It should heal up, but will always have the upturned snout.

Providing he can still eat the upturned snout doesn't really bother me. my concern was the, what looks like, exposed bone. Like you say, Ill keep things clean and keep an eye on him. Thanks :)

It'll heal. It's definately not life threatning to the gar.

I agree, it'll heal. It'll look really cool if it maintains that upward curve, it reminds me of a gharial.
