Light brown foam on surface

Recently i've started to notice some light brown foamy substance at the top of my tank. Trying to figure out what it could be. I use seachem safe for wc's. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

After a water change? if so whens the last time you cleaned your biomedia?

Kind of makes sense then since I feed shrimp every other day. What can I/should I do to get rid of it?

Most likely protein build up. Just like the foam from a protein skimmer.

Exactly my idea from the first second.

Stop feeding shrimp.

Pass news paper pages over the surface, so that thing sticks to the paper and remove it....

And thet start thinking about a surface skimmer.

Very much south..
There are some intake pipes, to filters, that have the normal intake on the bottom, and a second intake just below the surface.

There are also some i believe you connect to an airpump......
