My main purpose for building this aquarium was to have maximum amount of gallons out of a 4'x8' sheet of plywood and to be able to take it apart if I need to move. Here are some pictures of my building materials and the progress I've made so far.

The carpet was in bad shape when I got the house. While I was at the hardware store getting materials my girl friend told me I should replace the carpet in that room before setting up the tank. After looking at a lot of different options I got $1.75 a Sq. Ft. Resilient Vinyl Planks from Home Depot.

Will you need to reinforce the floor jousts underneath of that tank? One of your pics shows ventilation coming from the floor, which would suggest a crawl space. Even with the weight of the tank divided among 6 floor jousts it could cause sag in the floor or outright collapse with 5000lbs+.

Also, I really like the design of the stand. Is it 2x12's and 2x6's drilled and bolted?

Cant wait for more pictures! Good luck
