on the back of the eco - complete substrate bag. It says * Do not use marble, dolomite, limestone, crushed coral, shells, aragonite etc.

When it says limestone, is it referring to gravel limestone or any type of limestone period. I know texas holey rock is limestone so I'm curious if its safe to stick it into the aquarium or not.

Any help with this.

P.s. it will be a tank for discus with tons of plants.

My guess is that the eco-complete for planted tanks is more for a black water aquarium rather than a high pH setup. The addition of marble, dolomite, limestone, crushed coral, shells, aragonite etc. most likely will kill off the live bacteria that is included in the bag. They do make an eco-complete for african cichlids.
