I'm impatient and it almost bit me in the butt today. My fowlr tank is 2 weeks old and I "quick cycled" it with dr Tim's and added a few fish right away. Then a couple more over the next week. All parameters were good the tank didn't cycle at all. Salinity was stable. But....I didn't QT and my fish got ich.

Moral of the story: when people say take your time with a saltwater tank, they mean it.

You're fish are stressed which is why they got ich. All marine fish will carry ich, they can just fight it off unless they get stressed. Patience is definitely key in this hobby. Good luck :)

I think the stress of adding a new fish is what caused it. Under the advice of a friend who owns the LFS I buy from, I gave them a freshwater dip and started feeding with garlic gaurd. All signs of ich are gone and they are eating well.
