Hey guys, I am getting a 150 x 60 x 60 cm tank soon... which translates to a 142 US Gallon tank. How many Fronts should I get?

Actually they are juveniles right now.... I am getting 1 and 2 inchers soon. So based on that... how many should I get? Oh yeah, and I don't plan breeding them in the future... so would it be alright if I add a few syno cats in there?
Juvies, basically you can put as many as you like, but they will grow fast, so take that as a consideration. Syno cats should be ok, but i dont have experience with them. I have my moba all themself.
they grow very slow. dont know where you got they grow fast at.. 2nd, at most in a 142 gallon i would do is 6 MAYBE 7. 1 male 5 or 6 females, but juvies you could do 12 tell they get to about the 6 inch mark then start thinning them down. with 12 juvies, you got about 10 months for tell you need to thin down the herd.
I would agree that 7-10 would be the range. I would only allow one or two males in the group. From My personal expierience that will be all the dominate male will allow. We they get 5-6" the Males will start being aggressive to other males if not given enough room.
I have a 150gal tank and keep 12 fronts in it just fine- My only suggestion with this is that you keep no more than 2 males but if you go with a smaller group then really all in all 1 male would be a much better idea. I also breed mine though. I would suggest maybe 8-10 in you'r tank with one male and I think that would be a great start. As juvies you can start with many - I started with 21 of them (in the .5-1.5 inch range starting) but sold them off as they grew.
As for the syno cats - yes you can keep them with fronts fine and they shouldn't have an issue holding their own, I keep one with my fronts and several in other tanks. My only word of cautaion with the syno cats is to keep an eye on them, I have kept some that got a long perfectly fine but I have had multiple issues with some that just beat the living crap out of eachother if more then one is in a tank.

Ahhh I see..... well an update here.... turns out that my tank's dimensions are 150 x 60 x 70, which makes it a 166 gallon tank. What about striped raphael cats?
