They're in my guppy/ platy breeding tank.. Gonna let them fatten up before putting them in the 180 with 4 4" ST and a 12" feifeng.. )

Came home today to feed my feeders and noticed this guy wasn't looking too active.. I'm not sure if he's getting beat up or if its digestive problems from the ghost shrimp he hunted down.. His mouth was wide open while breathing. I put him in a separate container floating in the tank with an air tube..

The fish is still in water when I took the pics. How does moving it into a floating tank worse than leaving him in the tank to get nipped on by the other dats?

The tank is heavily planted with anubia and tons of riccia to keep my parameters in check. Temp is at 84. Filtration is a fluval in tank filter and a sponge filter. 2-5 gal water change once a week or 2. Water is topped off once every 3-4 days. Tank mates are guppies, platys, and swordtails. They are in a 40g breeder. No more than 40 fish in the tank including the dats

Not out of water in your hand for a photo shoot!!!! Especially.if you notice something wrong.

Moving it to a floating tank prob made it worse.

Whay are your water parameters?
Temp. Fiktration?
Tank mates?
