How much salt to add to a 120gal to increase the SG by .002 ?

Title pretty much says it all, my math is aweful and I can't really find any good info online advising how to do it.
I want to boost the SG only by .002 in a 120 gallon aquarium, I need to know how much salt to mix into a bucket and dissolve.

1/2 a cup per US gallon, it is the Instant ocean brand

If a half cup raises one gallon by .02 then you will need 60 cups. By you never said how much sg 1/2 cup will raise 1 gallon.

that is correct, i just need a calculation of how much salt would raise it by .002 if the box says to use 1/2 a cup per gallon to make complete seawater

anyone? I kinda have a tank that needs the salinity adjusting. I don't want to screw it up with my aweful math

It's difficult to calculate how much salt it takes when really all we know is half a cup can get it to 1.023 so what I would suggest is to just let some water evaporate without topping it off and keep checking the salinity until it gets where you want it.

No it's at .000 I want to make Brackish, but the thread was moved to general salt for one reason or another, can anyone help me?
