So I know a guy who's selling 2 tanks a 210 gal glass tank only and a full 125 gal acrylic set up with stand canopy and sump both used of course. The 210 has never had water in it, this was used for a snake. The 125 was a saltwater set up, both still in good condition. He wants 500$ each for them. I really want the 210 but feel its too pricey. What's your opinions on this? Is this just too expensive

Around me that would be a good price for the 210 but not the 125, acrylic or not. I would offer him $800 for both.

agreed, the 210 sounds good but if you could get both for 800 that would be pretty sweet

Are you planning on using the tanks for fish or reptiles? I thought that if a snake or reptile was once stored in a tank that it could not be used for fish?

^ That's a myth. if you soak the tank in water and vinegar or bleach it will be fine. My 55 was used for reptiles and it's been running for a few months with no problems.

yea i used to have some geckos in a 40b when i was like 15 and converted it to fish with no problems. the only thing you have to watch out for is if anythings claws messed up the silicone anywhere.

Your lucky around me I have been trying to find deals and people want stupid amounts of money for small tanks... Like 800 for 55gallons and 1600 for 125gallons

$500 for the 210 is good, but make sure it holds water first and really check the silicone - I'd offer him $400 and see if he would come off the price a bit. Its always worth a shot, I just talked a dude down to $300 on a 125, $200 less than what he was asking! $400 max for the 125.
