I was going to do a sump however with this set up I want to be able to see straight through the tank from either room. how about the API nexx anyone??

I use a 40 gallon sump powered by a mag18 + a fluval 406 on my 120 (4x2x2). If you are deciding against the sump, I would recommend the FX5 for adequate filtration.

Thanks. I think that will probably be the best way to go since i don't want to see the plumbing from the other side of the room.

you can pickup a FX5 for $250 with media ... best option if you don't want to go with a sump... will be cheaper since FX6 is out...

Eheim without a doubt it's the best but for a complete filtration package get a classic.

I have a 2080 fantastic filter for bio but not so much for Mech, I have a 180 with 2080,& 2217, upgrading the 2217 to a 2260.

A classic 2260 has faster flow and more media room...if your running a single filter the classic it's the better option.
