I recently scored a large wet and dry from a local fish store.

My questioon is I have a 680gph (at 1 foot) pump on it and it can definately handle more. I am only using one of the two 1.5 inch connectors on the sump and have an 800gph overflow box. I was going to upgrade to a 1000gph pump(unsure of brand) when I wondered why could I not run two of these 680gph ? The power consumption is slightly lower and as it stands I seem to have enough circulation to keep the tank going. If one pump died I would have some time before replacing it. I can mount the pump internally(preffered for space) or externally and I would like to keep the pump under 100watts.

The Wet and Dry is from a company called sea life systems and is a few years old, it was the only filtration for a 300gallon divided stock tank. I am using it on my 120 gallon wide and replaced my pond filter with it, I put all my pond filters media in it and it has 5+gallons of bio balls with room to spare.

The tank also has a casacade 1000 (100g) canister as back up.
