55 gallon tank. Right now only has 2 kissing gouramis and bristlenose pleco.
When I first bought the tank, I bought a Pen Plax Cascade heater. It failed within a week. When I emailed Penn Plax, they sent me a new heater, but in the mean time, I bought a Visitherm. Here it is, 1 year later and my tank is as 76 degrees and my heater is staying on 24x7. So, good guess is it's failing.
I put the Cascade in to try and get the temperature back up to 79 degrees, but I would like to get something that will last a while.
