1. Are they venomous?
2. How many should i keep in a 75 gallon FOWLR aquarium?
3. Will they eat other inverts/fish?
4. Do i need to feed them anything or will the algae be enough?
5. Can they harm the live rock or scratch the glass?

Thanks!

1. No but they do have prickly spines
2. I would say 3-5
3. They don't eat fish or inverts
4. Algae and detritus is enough
5. They will not harm live rock and don't harm glass, but can scratch acrylic

Generally urchins are reef safe, however I have a white urchin that developed a taste for my kenya tree. Its a good thing that kenya trees grow like weeds and the urchin helps keep it in check.

I agree but on 5 urchins will eat sponges, tunicates and all the microfauna they can eat from the live rock they are wonderful cleaners yet will really clean your live rocks but this takes a very long time and once they leave one area it will be repopulated over time and they are not too reef safe as they are good at knocking over corals and in past experiences I had with many different urchins love my expensive zooanthids and ocotocorals
