Heres my yet to be named african lung i got from snookn a few months ago. Finally came out at a good time where i had my phone camera reAdy.

Yes. There is blue gravel in the sand. One of those thing where while setting up the tank i thought "surely leaving the tiny amount of old blue gravel wont make a difference once i add 3" of sand...." :angry: but anyways enjoy.






Now we know why the blue gravel surfaced through 3" of sand...

Very nice looking guy, wish I had room for one..
The blue flecks don't look too bad in the sand, at least its not multi-color clown puke...

He has a few tankmates. I know im taking a gamble but so far so good. Bigger cichlids. No one bothers him and he hasnt touched anyone.

Awesome lungfish.
I made the same mistake with blue gravel as well haha. I used a mesh kitty litter scooper to fix that.
