Hello,
I will be doing an order of tropheus soon and need advice on how best to acclimate them.

They will be in transit for roughly two days. (Way cheaper and the seller still has a DOA guarantee on two day shipping)
Anyway, how can I acclimate them properly so ammonia doesn't become too toxic once the bag is opened?

Best way would be to drip acclimate them but since they will be in the bag for two days, let them float in the bag in the tank for about 30 minutes and then dump them right in

Shouldn't be an issue. As long as they arrive in good condition and are shipped properly with no delays, you should be fine.

Dump them into a net over a bucket...and get them into the tank ASAP...

After two days they'll be swimming in nastiness. The sooner into clean water, the better...

+1, I dont acclimate any fish I get via shipping. Best get them into clean water ASAP.

With that said I have never lost a fish using that method.

Don't dump the bag water in your tank. You can add some tank water in the bag for a few minutes or in a bucket then just net them and put them in the main tank.
