180 gallon sump pumps

Hi. I'm wondering what kind of plumbing set up I need for my 180. I think I have one drain and two returns. My stand will be 27 inches tall and the drain is about 21-22 inches from the bottom of the tank. I'm running a trickle tower filter with filter floss for mechanical filtration, and biohome plus for biological. Here are some pictures of the tank.

Looks like two drains and one return to me. That said, I don't like the idea of having the return drilled through the back of the tank like that as it has the potential to siphon a lot of water back into the sump when the pump switches off. If it were me I'd probably block off that hole and just put the return up and over the back of the tank.
