why does my goby bury itself at night? (pics)

and after the lights go out i hear some
rocks hit the glass and hes gone.. this fish is probably 9" long, and my friends does not do this. here he is in stealth mode... why does he do this?? is it normal?ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1374296921.897120.jpg

I crash at the K-Pg
I was looking at this on mobile and the night pictures were taking a while to load so they were all black. I said to myself "did this guy seriously upload pictures of the lights out?". :lol2:

I'm sorry, I can't help with why the giby buries himself. Hes a really nice looking fish though!
