Using a pump that used to be marine on freshwater??

I've just brought a new pump eheim pro 3 only about 9 months old but it's been used on marine, I have cleaned all the media and sponges using hot water and I will be running my fx5 along side it.
Will this be ok or will there be any kind of bacteria etc that could be harmful to my fish?
I have 2 Arowanas a Pangasius a Fire Eel and a Motaro Ray?
