Hi,

I was wondering if adding salt to my tank would give cloudy water?

I was advised to add pool salt to my tank at 1 tablespoon to 20L was good for fish to heal any scale damage and also that it helped with bad things growing in the water.

Have i been advised wrong, and can this amount of salt cause the water to look cloudy white?

All my water parameters are 0...

Thanks in advance

Just done 50% wc and as I said all my parameters are perfect.

Is my salt dose to high?

Nah, this is about a tbsp for each 5 gallons, the highest salt dose you would want in freshwater, but many use this same amount in their tanks with no issues. Some species such as cory cats can't handle this much salt, so researching all your fish and their tolerance to salt would be wise.

Also make sure your pool salt contains no additives
