Im not looking for an answer, cus im pretty sure there isn't one- just venting! Here's my biggest IT, about 7 inch. Looks ok, doesn't it? Trouble is that's with the lights out . When the lights are on its hidden and pretty much stripe less! Wish it would be like that all the time :(

Lol,the answer is most if them don't like bright lights.I rarely use my tank lights on my dat tanks, most of my tanks really..the incoming daylight or ceiling lights are usually good enough for me to see by and it's comfortable for the fish.

My lights aren't super bright cus I prefer it that way. I have 2 18" led "tubes" which are on for 7 hours then fade to blue for an hour. It comes out with the blue light on when I feed, but definitely happier in natural light. Its a bit of a wimp too, is that normal? Gets picked on by my 5" severum and 4" leopard bush fish. Not to the point that maked it hide all the time, but id have thought it would be boss of the tank.
