This is an indo dat, correct? I just got him off craigslist today for my birthday present to myself. He's awesome, easily 10+". These are the sellers photos, as his quarantine tank isn't lit and in a dark area, he looks a lot bigger than the photos, so they may be old. Seems happy to be swimming around again. The seller sold his 135 gallon tank, and had this guy and a 12+" pleco in a 20g long. I haven't tried feeding him yet. The guy had raised him on feeders. How hard is it going to be to get him to eat pellets and frozen food? I don't typically do feeders.
He's definately getting a parasite treatment before he mingles with any other my other fish.

What do you think? His bars are darker and sharper in real life. Not sure if that's from stress or not. What should a fish like this be bought for?

Happy Birthday! Yes, it is an indo. It can be difficult to get them on pellets but stuff like shrimp or bloodworms should work. The fact that his bars are darker IRL is good, it means that he's stable.

More pics from yesterday, his first water change. He's in a 55 gallon Q tank. That's a 10" pot in there with him.
My boyfriend named him Rex. :) He hasn't been interested in earthworms yet, but he's probably not going to be getting feeders much over here.
