im thinking about those species
i have a 160 gallon tank how many can i put in? im thinking about an aro soon not yet thats why i wanna grow out these datnoids (building an indoor pond :D) this tank is temporary for a while tho

do you recomend same species of datnoids? or i can mix? do they need a school? a small group if so how many?

im wanting peacock bass as well


when i get back im going to make my tank like big pieces of drift wood in tank in middle few of them
and black gravel or sand what ever its called LOL

Do a single or atleast a trio. They may show aggression towards each other if in a pair. They are very slow growers so it doesn't really matter which one since you'll have lots of time to upgrade/sell. The AT are the smallest only growing 12" max you could get quite a few and not too pricey. Its what i have

lol i prob cant add an arowana in then right?
i have an chance to buy a few i think indo for 25 bucks only 3 inch and ntt for 32 2 inch but i wont be here for a few weeks lol so i must wait lol

but how long it takes to get to 6-7 inches ? lol aro may eat it

Grow out a bunch and Pick out the Stable ones for yourself. Yes you can mix the species

what do you mean by stable ones?
also you mean buy like 5-6? what if i dont wanan sell can i keep that many tho?

Read up on the Datnoid section on "stable" meaning Bright Bold colors and stripes and Not hiding. Yes you can keep them and a Aro would work til out grows your tank in a 1 year give or take. I would get More NTT to Indo since NTT are almost always stable. if you can grow them all Out with your Aro if you were to get one

I'm getting an arowana 100% lol once tank is ready

It's more about datnoids I'm wanting to get 5-6 if I can keep that many
And only 1-2 bass

And Im thinking
About selling Im wanting to breed datnoids but I can't right ?
