(Help) Jungle val problem in cichlid tank

I got some jungle val a while back haven't had much luck with them. I was wondering if my root tabs could be the problem I use seachem flourish tabs there in a 55g tank I have a 4 bulb 3 ft t5ho fixture with 1x coralife 6500k bulb and 2x 10k was keeping them in for 7 hours a day but now only 6
