I just upgraded from a 55g to a 75g. Some of the fish in the tank really didnt grow alot because of the tank size and they were in the 55g for year I was wondering now that there in a bigger tank and have more room if they would grow bigger now even tho the haven't grown in a year

Tank size vs. fish growth for the most part is a myth. If you have a small tank...but have good water quality & good food...a fish that is supposed to get large will still get large.

The fish you have are not growing possibly due to:

- poor water quality
- not getting enough to eat
- not being fed "good" food
- or simply the growth rate of your fish is naturally slow

There is a stress factor that can be argued which could slow down a fishes growth in a small or over-crowded tank. But for the most part...if you put a baby Oscar (which is supposed to get to be 12-14" in size)...into a 20 gallon tank...that Oscar is still going to get big.

Is a bigger tank better for your fish...sure!:) But just because these fish are put into a larger tank...don't all of a sudden expect a growth spurt.;)
