Hey guys, Wondering if any of you keep / have kept Oreochromis tanganicae? I was having a google and found out this is the actual name for my fish I am always referring to as just oreochromis, Mines also seems quite large according to wikis average size being 17" mines at 20".
If anyones keeping any would be keen to hear how yours is behaving? I found some older posts of people having major issues with them. I noticed when mine was breeding its tail would also change to a blood red color and his temperament went out the roof but now he has chilled out and actually keeps the peace between most the other fish. His stilling having his occasional fits but when he does the larger red devil pair seems to gang up on him.
Ill try get some pictures later tonight, rarely sits still though. I must say these bigger african fish are quite amazing, So anyone else keeping any?
