This may have already been a thread but I'm too lazy to look :) so how long does everyone keep their tank lights on? I feel like my fish enjoy the lights off but I have them on from about 11 am to at least 11 pm most days (singlebright LEDs non planted)... I think I keep mine on too long but I just like to see what's going on in there every time I walk by lol...how about everyone else?

I put mine on for about an hour in the morning before I go to work and for about 4/5 hours in the evening when I get home - generally speaking I do the same lighting routine at the weekends as well.

I run all my lights on timers to turn on and off with the natural sun light. So they kick on at 6am and cut off around 7:30 pm. Once it gets cold and the times change I reset the times.

2:30pm to 11:30pm on a timer. I never get home until about nine so it gives me some viewing time.

I don't have any live plants so I only run my lights when I want to observe and service my tanks.Otherwise there is enough light coming in from the windows during the day.
