That should be "hand fed" of course. You could probably do this without the stick, but I'm not sure how many times you could try it and still have ten fingers lol. I tried to embed the video, but didn't succeed:

Thanks for embedding that, Bones. That was about a one-pound slice of carp, missing the guts. There are a couple of seven footers in the pond, but there are a few smaller ones. Typical bait size for big alligator gar is about two pounds, which is also typical "food" size.

Such a delicate eater for its size... and yup... can't imagine getting my didgets near our lil' 2'r gar let alone something that was longer then I was tall! lol Wish we could have gar outdoor year around here =)
