Tank upgrade questions

Hi, Im about to empty my 65ltr nano and transfer all stock into my new ( 2nd hand to me!) RSM 130ltr. Now is it just a case of use the water from my existing tank and then making up the difference with salted from my lfs?
also im going to use the filters from the old tank to help while the new tank builds bacteria, how long does this filter need to stay in?

If you do some of the new aquascaping using cured LR from the LFS plus your existing rock and sand your new tank may not even go through a cycle but I'd run the old filter for a couple of months anyway. Try to make sure the new water's the same sg and temp and transfer all of the old water to limit any shock to your livestock.
