like the title says I just acquired a 150 gallon acrylic tank today. I just need suggestions on equipment ideas and stocking ideas. Iv been out of the hobby for sometime so any suggestions will be a great deal of help.

Free is the best! I would do a few LFS trips to see what is available in your area, unless your willing to order fish online.you can run 2 canister filters and maybe a pump for circulation.what fish have you kept in the past? Cichlids are my thing, you many choices

Conrats on the tank! have fun deciding your stock. For input, you need to give more clues as to what your interests are, such as community or Lg display fish. maybe what you've kept in the past & liked, or want to change up.

depends on if you want to spend more or not. Eheim 2262 is great.

A 150G gives you some variety of good choice in fish.

Grab a cheap used 55 and build yourself a sump, acrylic is a breeze to drill so putting in your own overflow will be cake. After that, the possibilities are endless but as always I'd suggest a CA/SA chiclid setup but that's just my thing :)

Awesome pick up, make sure to keep us posted on what you end up doing!

That's a good pickup. I wish I could get a free tank, you should consider yourself lucky.
