Looking to spend $75, I can get an ac 110. are there any other filters better than ac 110 for $75 ?

75 gallon and FATF. (African tigerfish).

p.s. the FATF is the smallest species (12") and grows slow, Im just gonna grow him out in the 75 b4 moving to my 180. im really lookin at mechanical filteration more than bio

Ac 110 FTW at that price point. I have had both, Emperor is good, and cheaper but not nearly as flexible or capable imo.

You would have to spend twice as much for a used canister filter with the same flow rate, and canisters are a pain to open on a regular basis (especially if you're using it more for mechanical)
