Hi guys
Found a tank by the side of the road today for sale - came with a stand, and a canister - maybe a FX5 - I didn't even look, and a bunch of other saltwater equipment.

First - it's a half-circle shape - what do you call that shape in tanks? And how many gallons is it? It is about 3 feet long, and about 18 inches wide, and about 2 feet deep. (This is just eye ball) - it's still in the car. I'm sure these shape tanks have odd gallon sizes too.

For $25, I couldn't pass the whole deal up.

I'm thinking 45 gal or thereabouts - good guess! It is not a bowfront. It has no sides. It is a half circle. What would that be called? Are they rare ? I'll measure it tomorrow.

Semi circle? Is it a full half circle? (that sounds funny) if you give me the actual dimensions I can figure out the gallonage.

Sent from my mind to my fingers to my phone to the MFK servers to you

OK - so I actually was dead close. It is 35 X 18 inches, and is a full half circle. 2 feet deep.
Pi x radius square, 3.14x18x18= 1017.36 area of bottom x 24 =24416.64 d divide by 231 = 105.699 gallons

3.14 x (Radius x Radius) x .5 x Depth = Cubic Feet.
Cubic Feet x 7.48 = Total Gallons.

The tank is just under 53 gal
