I agree aquaclear 110s are hands down the best filter for the money and I've tried them all

Can't go wrong with ac 110, have them, love them. But for that size tank i like fx5.

Don't get a hood. Just get a piece of glass cut to the right size, it'll be much cheaper.

You can get 2 and connect them with a sort of stick in plastic hinge thing (sorry I'm not being very descriptive) so that it can angle open if you'd like.

As for lights, you can really use almost any kind if you're not trying to grow plants, so no reason to spend a lot of money there. But even though it's initially more expensive, you'll save money on light bulbs and electricity with LEDs.
