I was testing out my new setup. Fill water to the top was when they snapped.:cry::cry:

What is the strongest way to fix it? Silicone glass from end to end?

it was level before. After I drain all the water, its not level. I'm guessing the stress of the un-level cause the brace to break.

this is an old tank, not sure about manufacturer. What is best way to fix it?

The best fix imo would be to replace the entire top frame.

how do you find what brand to get? I can't find any sticker or branding on the tank itself.
seems to be an older tank because of the brown trimmings

would 1/2" thick glass silicone going from side to side fix issue?

It doesn't even need to be that thick - I would silicone a 6" wide strip of 1/4" or 5/16" glass under each brace.

what space should I give for silicone? I search and saw most people did 1/8 of an inch? Or do they just do a tight fit?

also, glass is stronger than acrylic?
