Some of you guys know that i have started a fish room. Using shelves i can stack tanks with. My 90 and 75g were relocated across the room. I unplugged the heaters, drained the tanks and did not even remove them from the tank while moving them.

I filled them back up and didnt bother using my probe to recheck the temperature. Last night after getting home from work i decided to check. Both tanks are at 85, they use to sit at 80-81. I have no vent or fan in the room yet. Just in the window sucking humidity out. But there just as close to the window as before. Any thoughts?

My wife and I have had this happen too. May be heaters become more fragile over time and a bump while moving them sets something loose inside. they still work but we have found the temperature can usually be set lower on a used or moved heater.
