Not 100% sure but if its like most animals they usually get most traits from moms not as much pops

Yes,the traits do get affected.Depending on which gene is more dominant,it may be the male at times,but mostly would be the female. Since the fish you saw is leaning towards tsn,it would probably have the same potential growth length/habit/diet/lifespan as a tsn.Of course this may vary as not all hybrids may carry the same traits as each other!
