I Am Looking To Upgrade To Led Lights For My 55 Gallon Setup
I Have Been Checking Out The Marineland LED Light Hoods. I Prefer The Fully Closed Hoods.
Do You Have An Idea For Something That’s DIY?
Im On A Budget Of $100
What Do You Recommend? I Need 2 That’s 24” Each

Switch to a glass top and get a beamsworks. If your handy you can find some sheets of glass and cut them to size. Aqua traders.com has beamsworks for pretty cheap since your on a budget and the glass you can always get from and old picture frame or something. I made mine from and old tank that was taken apart.

I don't like glass lids because of the reflection when viewing tank from above with led's, I just use the cheap plastic lids. The beamsworks seem to get good reviews and are cheap enough for your budget.

I am running those satellite led lights on my 240. 2 36in. They are perfect for my tank. There not good for a planted tank. But since mines not planted it works perfect. Love them. I would recommend these lights if you want to switch to led. Good within your budget.
