I ordered a 2262 off of petsmart.com when they had there sale, now my order finally gets here and I notice the box is small, it says 2260 on it, I got to petsmat.com and I dont even see the 2262s anymore am I loosing it, I swear i ordered one, I saw a thread on here saying they were like 300.00 bucks
2260 same as 2262 or did petsmart screw me

They are the same filter but the 2262 has a better pump with a much higher flow.

Look at each surface of the box. You'll have a sticker on it that says 2262. If you open the box and there are quick connects, you have a 2262.
ok, called them, they said they don't even carry them, and haven't for a while anyone else order one and get the screw like me, also he said not open box, is there some way to see if it s a 2262 without opening it, I do know it is printed in big bold letter 2260. I have watched unboxing reviews on youtube and even without opening i can tell my box is smaller, I still have my box to my 3xl 2080 and it is almost double the size.. DAMN, were can i get a 2262 for 300.00 like I was supposed to get from them. I have a 225 litly stocked with 3x AC110s and need a big filter

Looking at the box mine came in, it says "Eheim Classic 1500 XL", then it has a "2260" written on it. I didn't care, I just ripped it open and started putting it together, cause that's how I am....

I had to buy filter media separate, I bought Pond matrix instead of the "ehfisubstrate". I did buy "ehfimech", though. Want me to post some pics of the box mine came in, and the sticker on the pump?

Hang on! My box also has a big blue cirlce on it, too that says "2262 special edition", and "900 GPH". Like I said, I really didn't look to close at the box when I got it, I just ripped it open like a little kid and started playing with all the stuff inside!
My box is 23 1/4 inches tall, by 13 inches wide, by 13 inches deep. The "canister" is really just a fancy 3 gallon bucket, it's like 16 inches tall, 18 inches counting the screw that holds the lid on, and 23 1/2 inches tall with the pump mounted to the bucket lid. If your box isn't that big, I think you got rooked.
I got mine when they had a one day sale on 2262 for $204. That was like 3 weeks ago and it is still in the shipping box. Its big enough to be one though. I better get to cuttin tape when I get home. They had the 2260 on sale for more but it came with media.
