ST lifespan

They say that all the ST in aquariums now are at least 10 years old. Does that mean if you bought one today and took good care of it, you could expect to live for another 5 or however many years?

Probably another ten years but who knows just how long they live.Since they are slow growers I suspect they are quite long living.

That's true about the slow growing

So the little 2" tigers we see must be 1.1.5 years old to grow to 2" from a egg

Mine seams to have stopped growing now I have had it 8 years from 2" so mine must be close to 10 years

He's been in the big tank 4 years in February so no tank restrictions

We will see

How big is it now?...I thought it was close to twenty four inches in length and that's about their limit isn't it?

I still think IT get bigger than ST

I have seen 4-5 year old IT at 19" and still growing
