What is this? I'm thinking parasite. It's killed 3 of my plecos so far & is spreading to the others (about 30 in there). I've treated with metro & prazi--no luck.

Hi there, take my word as a grain of salt, but it looks more like an infection/disease from the looks of it.More pictures would help since we'r unable to see the sides of him!
In the meantime its better if you isolate your pleco in another tank to prevent if from spreading further to your other fishes while it fights the infection.

Moderator this should be moved to pleco forum. I had something similar a long time ago. Raising the temperature to 84 and extra airration helped get rid of it.

Pp: give seachem paraguard a try. I had something similar with a jack dempsey and it healed after treatment. It looks viral to me.
