Are snails bad for a fish breeding tank? Assassin snails, too?

If I'm not mistaken, I read somewhere snails will eat fish eggs. So when I saw small pond snails in my 15g Apisto breeding tank, I wasn't happy. And now today, I come across a bunch of snail eggs that got lost in the leaf litter bottom when I disturbed them.:irked:

In another tank of mine (10g), trying to remove snails, I have 3 assassin snails. Should I, in hope of eradicating the pond snails from the Apisto breeding tank, add the 3 assassin snails? Or would they be more of a threat to the fish eggs? The assassin snails are about 3/4"-1" in size, the other snails I'm finding are no larger than 1/4".
