While looking for a bullhead on Aquabid, I saw a Bowfin. Has anyone had these before? They look kind of like snakeheads.

Very fun and easy fish to keep. They just get very big eventually. I currently have one around 9 inches.

Built like a bulldog and grow well over 3'. Almost a native version of a wolf fish. I always wondered how many of these were misidentified/killed/reported as snakeheads

Dont keep with other bowfin and they grow relatively slow after about 6 inches.

They are aggressive towards food but not too bad with tankmates so far.

I have a 16" bowfin. Aggressive toward other bowfin I had but not other species. It's with a 9" jack Dempsey and a couple large polys. With no problems. Aggressive at feeding time.
