I did a quick search on the forums but the threads date back to like 07 08, but i was reading that Royal Marbled Motoros are only blue when they are babies and that as they get older their colors fade?

I just wanted to know if this is true? Does anyone have an adult royal mm that still has its blue?

I saw a couple really nice royals in my area but not sure if I want to pay the extra price if its just going to lose its blue over time and become a normal marbled

i know its a bit late but since there are no reply's ill see if i can help.

ive not seen any mention of blue rays for some years but it used to be that the blue faded after a while and was beleived to be due to the foods that they were eating in the wild.
since the blue rays didnt eat the same foods in captivity they lost the colour and you were left with a pretty standard ray that cost alot.

hope it helps.
