He died from what seems of old age..i had saved him from an LFS that had adopted him..here's the story ; the owner had come home to him busted 30 gallon tank left gasping on the floor.. Luckily the Original owner came home to this with no other means but to turn him in to his LFS as i visited this fish store that was 25 miles away that i haven't visited in 8 years.. i noticed a huge Oscar stressed out on the bottom of a 40 gallon tank..i asked the EE if he was for sale and he told me the story before mentioned.. as he waHawaii 2013 008.JPGHawaii 2013 006.JPGHawaii 2013 007.JPGHawaii 2013 008.JPGHawaii 2013 006.JPGHawaii 2013 007.JPGlked away i noticed he was stressed from the lights on him all day..so i turned them off without permission..and signaled the EE over told him what i did and the Oscar started to move around..the EE said WOW i never seen him move since we got him in A FEW DAYS AGO!!.. to make a longer story short i adopted him when i showed the owner a pic of my 240 gallon tank and a promise of a better home..i am happy to say he had a great life and believe he is close to a decade years old!
